Inventor and Designer of Postural Control Insoles

Test Wedge Kit is used to record the Forward Body Lean Pattern (FBLP) as the proprioceptive signal is increased incrementally from 3.5 to 6.0 to 9.0mm

  • Linear shift in the FBLP will occur in patients born with Rothbarts Foot.
  • Linear Shift in the FBLP is defined as:  A series of incremental shifts towards the plumb line as the proprioceptive signals are increased from 3.5mm, 6.0mm to 9.0mm

  • Nonlinear shift in the FBLP will occur in patients born with the PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity.
  • Nonlinear shift in the FBLP is defined as:  A series of incremental shifts in which one or more of the shifts diverge away from the plumb line as the proprioceptive signals are increased from 3.5mm, 6.0mm to 9.0mm.   See Animation below

Note the body's shift away from the plumb line (red arrow) when the proprioceptive signal is changed from 3.5mm to 6.0mm
